While we are non-profit organization, we can offer the exchange coordinator a stipend of $1200 ($100 per class) to:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;o help recruit the 12 classes in Japan &lt;br /&gt;o help translate in the teacher training session we will run in May&lt;br /&gt;o make sure all teachers receive and understand the guideline materials&lt;br /&gt;o in September and October, keep in touch with the Japanese art teachers to make sure they will be able to meet the deadline.&lt;br /&gt;o help with translating the artist description sheets into English or Japanese&lt;br /&gt;o in November, coordinate the shipping of the 12 art packets to Creative Connections&lt;br /&gt;o in February, making sure all classes receive art from their partners and send feedback to their partners.&lt;br /&gt;o Help with any classes wishing to create and post email, photo or video responses or who wish to participate in a videoconference.&lt;br /&gt;o Help teachers complete an end-of-program evaluation&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Creative Connections’ Artlink Program&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This unique program is designed for art and social studies classes around the world. Students create art projects designed to reflect their life and culture and exchange their work with a partner class in a different country. The program                                              is open to scholars and practitioners                                              interested in building Third-Sector                                              capacity in the United States and                                              overseas. This year’s Fellows                                              will be selected from abroad and also                                              from communities of color under-represented                                              in the U.S. grantmaking sector. Fellows                                              are based at The Graduate Center of                                              The City University of New York, where                                              they design and pursue an individualized                                              research project and participate in                                              a seminar with Third-Sector leaders.                                              Specific topical areas are chosen                                              each year.&lt;span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;                                            &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;                                                                                                                                                                                                                     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:85%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The                                              research topic for applicants to the                                              2008 Emerging Leaders Program, including                                              the program’s Diversity Fellowship,                                              is community foundations. A limited                                              number of fellowships for research                                              on diaspora or corporate philanthropy                                              are also available for applicants                                              based outside the United States.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;                                            &lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Fellows will participate                                              in a 3-month seminar (Monday March                                              3 to Friday May 30, 2008) on the U.S.                                              and international voluntary sectors.                                              Fellows are expected to produce a                                              25-page research paper on their findings,                                              which will be presented in the seminar.                                              They will learn about the work of                                              key agencies and meet with foundation                                              and nonprofit representatives. They                                              will also attend selected workshops                                              or conferences.&lt;/p&gt;                                                                                                                                                                          &lt;p style="margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;Each                                              fellowship covers the cost of tuition                                              and includes a $1,300-per month stipend                                              (taxable) to cover living and research-related                                              expenses. work with these organizations as a volunteer or intern for 1 week – 2 years, offering experience, educated ideas, and financial resources.
